Stop Press - Just as this week's Newsletter was being published on Friday 11th September, the news was announced that MPs voted against the assisted dying bill, after debating for more than four hours in the Commons. This bill can now go no further. An MP could bring back another bill on assisted dying next year instead, which could be identical to the bill in question today.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the request to write to your MP directly or using the pre-formatted cards. And of course as importantly, thank you for your prayers for the success of this vote rejecting the Bill. Please continue to pray for increased funding of quality palliative care as an alterntive to assisted dying.
