PARISH-WIDE HEALTH AND WELLBEING SUPPORT (CIC)
Meets on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 10:30 - 12:30 in the parish hall.
Parish-wide Health and Wellbeing Support Community Interest Company (PHAWS-CIC) seeks to facilitate and provide charitable service projects which contribute to the health and wellbeing support of the parish community of Our Lady of Lourdes Lee SE12, its primary school St.Winifred’s and the local community within its parish boundary. Our service is underpinned by catholic social teaching and is inclusive of all people irrespective of race, gender, age, disability, medical or other need. As a charitable organization, founded and co-directed by parishioners, we are proactive in additionally seeking to work in partnerships with local statutory and non-statutory organisations and groups of all faiths and none.
WHAT WE DO
This Group meets on 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of the month in the parish hall.
We are a fellowship coffee morning group open to all ages offering companionship, coffee, chat, support and activities centred on wellbeing.
A nurse (Ali Ryan) is available to members.
A Talk Tuesday group will be launched at St. Winifreds school in February 2023 for school parents.
PARISH NURSE SERVICE
PHAWS-CIC works Ecumenically and currently provides a nurse service to St Luke’s Anglican church Downham- Friday 10:30-1:30pm
PHAWS-CIC has received a grant to implement a Parish Nurse Service. This will be launched in April/May 2023.
The parish nurse service will work closely with the SVP and other parish community groups
HEALING HUB PRAYER GROUP
An Intercessory prayer session is led from 12:00-12:30 at the end of Wellbeing Wednesday group (held on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wednesday of the month)
Members of PHAWS-CIC have attended the Introduction to the healing ministry course and are a Bronze hub. Find out more
