About the event
The London Philanthropic Orchestra was founded in 2019 by conductor George Salmon, and its purpose is to bring together both professional and amateur musicians to raise money for charitable causes. The players come from all over London and generously give their time to support each chosen charity. The professional musicians include top London freelancers, members of the English National Opera Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the English National Ballet Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as soloists and session musicians. They see playing for the orchestra as both a delight and a privilege and look forward to doing these concerts, which have raised thousands of pounds for a range of different causes.
